Was ist Dein Lieblings-Heli und warum: Henseleit TDR ...das Design gepaart mit dem einzigartigen Sound.... ein deutsches Kunstwerk. Für mich gibt es nichts schöneres als der TDR Sound bei High-Speed Überflügen.
Gibt es eine Neuerung die du dir in der Hubschrauber Szene wünschst? Eine neue Akkugeneration womit man den TDR eine Stunde am Stück genießen kann. Außerdem wird es mal Zeit für ein matt-schwarzes Rotorblatt.

Nico Niewind was born on 30th August 1991 in Reutlingen southern Germany.
After spending the first six years of his life on the field he finally got introduced by his dad how to fly RC planes. Three years later he started flying helicopters. At first only scale helicopters later he started to get interested in 3D flying.
The first successes after many hours practicing on the simulator forced the aim to improve flying skills and taking part at competitions. The results on competitions were leading into sponsorship and manufacturers cooperations.

Q. When did you start with RC Model flying and why?
A. 8 years ago my father showed me how to fly RC Helicopters. I started with a Raptor 50 and a Kyosho Caliber 50. For the last 3 years I have concentrated on 3D flying which is what I like to most.
Q. What RC Helicopters have you flown?
A. After doing my first hover and flights with the Raptor 50 and Caliber 50, I tried many other models like the, Hirobo Freya Op 90, Raptor 90, JR Vibe 90, X-CELL Stratus 90, AVRO 90, the complete range of Align... I have had a lot of different brands and models!! I started flying 3D with a T-Rex 600 Nitro, trying my first inverted flights, Pie Dish, Hurricane, kaos... As I got better skills I needed a bigger and better helicopter, it was just when Align released there T-Rex 700 Nitro. Since that moment I only fly with that model and it's the one I like the most!
Q. Who supported you back then and who supports you now?
A. My best sponsors have been my parents! They helped me whenever I needed. My commercial sponsors started to see me from early 2008. Flightpower was my first sponsor together with Torsion Blades, they asked me to do some demo flights for them at 3DMasters 2008. After that I got a lot more sponsors. In 2009 i entered the official Align Team as well as the Freakware team (my best sponsor). At this moment I fly for a lot of brands like: Align, Freakware, BeastX, Optifuel, SpinBlades, Voltz, ReactorX, Hacker, Castle Creations, Lynx and Fusuno. All of my sponsors are a big help with my passion for RC Helicopter flying and they offer me the possibility to continue and experience competitions and events all over the world.

My Dad started me flying fixed wing, then he showed me helicopter which I thought was more fun. I entered my first competition in 2008, Clubman 3D and I placed in 1st position. I also like to demonstrate at competitions and compete. Competitions: Clubman 3D 2008, Park Hall 3D Cup 2009, UK 3DX CUP 2010, Zone 2011, 3D Masters 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011.

Moin, Mein Name ist Timo Cürlis (TC) ich bin 16 Jahre alt und komme aus Mönchengladbach. Seid Anfang 2010 fliege ich begeistert Rc-Helicopter, begonnen habe ich mit einem T-rex 450 von Align. Mit ihm habe ich alle Grundkenntnisse gelernt bis ich dann Anfrang des Sommers 2010 meinen T-rex 700 bekommen habe. Mit dem 90 er ging es dann richtig mit der 3D Fliegerei los und konnte Figuren fliegen welche mit meinem 450 nicht möglich waren. Kurz danach stellte ich fest, dass die 3D Masters 2010 in Venlo stattfinden. Da wollte ich natürlich sofort hin und mir mal anschauen wie so ein richtiger Wettbewerb abläuft. Nachdem ich dann Piloten wie: Daniel Jetschin, Nick Maxwell, Jamie Robertson sah, hat mich der Ehrgeiz gepackt und habe viele Videos von Toppiloten angeschaut, deren Figuren geübt und versucht diese in meinen Flugstil einzubringen. Von da an fuhr ich auch auf die ersten größeren Treffen, wo die ersten Firmen auf mich aufmerksam wurden. Durch Ihre Unterstützen wird mir nun auch ermöglichen auf große Flugtage mitzukommen. Diese Jahr werde ich mit Simon vom Baur zusammen bei den 3D Master im Snycro Wettkampf mitfliegen, sowie zusammen mit SpinBlades bei Road to Ircha dabei sein.
„Ich lebe im schönen Bayern in der Nähe von Ingolstadt und bin 1987 geboren.
Der Traum vom Fliegen hat mich schon als Kind fasziniert. Als die finanziellen Möglichkeiten endlich da waren, habe ich mir dann 2005 den Traum realisiert und mir den ersten RC Heli gekauft. Durch fleißiges Trainieren, auch viel am Simulator, konnte ich schnell Erfolge erzielen und darf nun seit 3 Jahren die Logo Serie als Teampilot der Firma „Mikado Model Helicopters" präsentieren. Faszinierend am RC-Heli fliegen sind für mich die schier unendlichen Möglichkeiten, wo gibt's das sonst? Außerdem habe ich 2007 mein Hobby zum Beruf gemacht und vertreibe RC-Helis und Zubehör in meinem Onlineshop.
Eigentlich bin ich Licht-Videodesigner, na ja, was heißt eigentlich, das bin ich 80% des Jahres und 16h am Tag. Aber meine Frau hat vor ca. 5 Jahren einen großen Fehler gemacht, wie sie es heute nennt, und mir einen Sender geschenkt, nachdem wir einen Flugtag besucht haben. Sie ist einfach wundervoll.
Also habe ich alles Weitere eigentlich ihr zu verdanken wie so oft in meinem Leben. Auch leide ich an dieser Krankheit, nichts "mal so" machen zu können.
Immer wenn ich etwas in die Hand nehme, möchte ich den Kern der Sache verstehen, ich will wissen, warum es so faszinierend ist, warum ich selbst so gefesselt bin.
Einfach gesagt, ich übertreibe es. Und so halte ich es auch mit dem Heli-fliegen und alles was für mich dazu gehört. Meine Freundschaft zu Jan Henseleit, die eigentlich seit der ersten Minute bestand, wo ich in dieses "Hobby" -blödsinn- "Lebenseinstellung/Ausdruck" eingetreten bin, hat mich nachhaltig beeindruckt und bewegt mich auch heute noch in allem meinem tun in diesem Bereich.
Marc Trautmann hat mich gefragt, ob wir beide eine Vision verfolgen wollen. Jetzt hat er den Salat: keine halben Sachen. "matt black"... Danke an alle, die mich begleitet haben über die Jahre!

Diese Blätter wurden speziel für die Scalepiloten entwickelt. Ihre matt schwarze Oberfläche sorgt für einen tollen Scalelook. Unser Logo (die drei Balken) wurden unauffällig in schwarz glänzend an der Innenseite vom Blatt angebracht, so das auch hier der Scalelook nicht verloren geht. Das halbsymmetrische Profil erhöhen enorm die Effizienz. Mit diesen halbsymmetrischen Rotorblättern erhöhen Sie durch den fehlenden Abtrieb (halbsymmetrisch) die Flugzeiten um bis zu 100%. Zusätzlich kompensieren sie durch den erhöhten Auftrieb das Mehrgewicht vom Rumpf und div Anbauteilen.

Asymmetrical rotor blades are increasing the flight endurance considerably, depending on the flight style up to 100 %. The increase in the endurance is due to the used airfoil, compared to symmetrical blades there is more lift by nearly the same drag factor.
